Organization Overview: Scholar Leaders cultivates theological leaders from the Majority World for lifetimes of impact in the Church and society. Through a dynamic ecosystem of programs, we support exceptional Christian leaders and collaborate with theological institutions to strengthen the Global Church.

Subgrant Project Description: The Spiritual Formation Bibliography Project seeks to address critical gaps in theological education by curating a global repository of resources on spiritual formation. Research has shown that many theological institutions struggle to meaningfully form their students and often rely exclusively on Western-centric materials, which overlook the diverse spiritual traditions and insights of the Global Church. This project aims to identify and amplify scholarship on the subject from a broad range of cultural and theological contexts, ensuring that educators and students worldwide have access to a richer, more representative body of work. The final product will be a highly curated, freely accessible online repository, available to both Western and Majority World institutions and individuals.

Location: The research has a global lens, bridging the Global North and South, while prioritizing voices writing from and for Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Eastern Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, and Oceania. It also particularly considers resources by scholars coming from marginalized communities within the Global North, including Indigenous peoples, Black Americans, and established Majority World diaspora communities, such as Korean-Americans and USA Latinos.
