Organization Overview: The Center for Theological Inquiry in Asia is a research center located in Manila, Philippines. Its mission is to foster a community of evangelical scholars and practitioners to support and strengthen the growing Asian church through advancing theological research and bridging the gap between the church and academia.

Subgrant Project Description: CTIA is collaborating with the Global Spiritual Formation Project on an initiative that includes an essay contest (launched February 2025 in partnership with the Asia Theological Association's Journal of Asian Evangelical Theology) and a culminating symposium in Manila, Philippines, in February 2026. The symposium, themed “Formed and Sent: Spiritual Formation and Mission,” will feature winning papers exploring these topics from Asian perspectives or within Asian contexts and communities. The project aims to inspire fresh ideas and stimulate regional dialogue on spiritual formation and mission in Asia, ultimately contributing to the growth of vibrant churches and discipleship practices in the region.

Location: Multiple partner countries in Asia and throughout the world
