Organization Overview: MENATE (Middle East and North Africa Association for Theological Education) is a regional network that supports and strengthens theological education across the MENA region. Its mission is to promote quality, collaboration, and contextual relevance through accreditation, institutional development, resource sharing, and engagement among theological schools and ministry partners. MENATE’s work helps theological institutions prepare church and ministry leaders to serve faithfully and effectively within their diverse contexts.
Subgrant Project Description: Formed by the Word: Integrating Scripture, Life, and Ministry in the MENA Context is a 24-month initiative designed to strengthen Scripture-centered spiritual and character formation across theological institutions and churches in the Middle East and North Africa. The project will invite scholars, students, pastors, worship leaders, and ministry practitioners to produce contextual resources on discipleship, preaching, theological education, quality assurance, and Christian spirituality. Selected contributions will be reviewed, and presented at MENATE’s 2027 Theological Forum and 2028 General Assembly gathering, and prepared for publication and wider dissemination. The project’s intended impact is to provide churches and theological institutions with biblically grounded, pastorally relevant, and contextually responsive resources that connect Scripture with worship, ministry practice, and the lived realities of the MENA region.
